Focus
Federal Credit Union is seeking a volunteer
to serve on the credit union’s board of directors.
In summary, directors are responsible for maintaining
the general direction and control of the operations
of Focus Federal Credit Union. An active and involved
board of directors contributes directly to the success
of Focus Federal Credit Union. Experience as a director
can be a fulfilling experience and help build a person’s
resume.
Current members in good standing with the credit
union may be qualified candidates. Some experience
with business planning or banking operations is a
plus. However, the credit union will train a person
who exhibits a desire to learn and will work towards
helping the credit union continue its success.
A director is expected to attend board meetings on
a monthly basis. These meetings are typically held
at noon on the fourth Monday of each month. Board
meetings take about an hour and a half. In addition,
directors occasionally attend committee meetings and
strategic planning sessions. Directors must also maintain
confidentiality of all member information.

Focus
Federal Credit Union is looking for a volunteer

Members of the supervisory committee protect the interests
of credit union members by conducting monthly audits
to help to ensure that the credit union staff is conducting
financial affairs in accordance with guidelines, policy
and regulations. A member of the supervisory committee
is expected to review audit reports and meet with
the supervisory committee on a quarterly basis. Experience
on the supervisory committee can be a fulfilling experience
and help build a person’s resume.
Members in good standing may qualify
for this position. Experience with accounting, management
control systems, or banking operations is a plus.
However, the credit union will train a person who
exhibits a desire to learn and will work towards helping
the credit union continue its success. Members of
the supervisory committee must maintain strict confidentiality
of member information.
